La llegada de las tropas de Napole\u00c3\u00b3n en 1809 a Le\u00c3\u00b3n trajo consigo la destrucci\u00c3\u00b3n, el robo, la rapi\u00c3\u00b1a. Los franceses transformaron la iglesia de San Isidoro en almac\u00c3\u00a9n y el Pante\u00c3\u00b3n Real en caballerizas. Usaron los sepulcros como abrevaderos y pesebres para los caballos y para ello sacaron los restos que hab\u00c3\u00ada dentro y los amontonaron en un rinc\u00c3\u00b3n. Viendo esta tremenda profanaci\u00c3\u00b3n, los can\u00c3\u00b3nigos de la colegiata se las ingeniaron para rescatarlos, llev\u00c3\u00a1ndolos a la iglesia de Santa Marina. Todos excepto la momia de Do\u00c3\u00b1a Sancha, a la que trasladaron a una casa particular, quiz\u00c3\u00a1 con el \u00c3\u00a1nimo de que estuviera m\u00c3\u00a1s protegida.<\/div>\n
